The way that you can enable chat on Ps3 is to sign into the master account adn go to XMB Account management sub account management. You then enter the password and email address and then enable text chat and video/voice chat. There is a type of party chat available also. You can invite multiple friends to chat in the chat room for up to six people to join the room.
