Is Microsoft account the same as an Office 365 account for people to use?

All people can use the Microsoft Account and should have one. With the account you have an email address an a password, this can be the main email address or an Outlook or Hotmail email address. The office 365 account is used to log into the mailbox that the user has and various Office 365 services and products.
